no receipt notice yet. Checks haven't been cashed as of this morning.
i sent application for me and my wife on july 6th NSC my I 140 was applied in TSC . i am NJ resident. wife took info pass appointmnet as no check cashed, no notice receive. started worrying now. as NSC is updating even new applications no sure if my case was transferred to TSC or not . any body in same boat ? application was signed by R williams in NSC.

Hello,
As my lawyer has used his checks to pay my 485/765/131 fees, there is no way of knowing whether the checks have been cashed. I did called my attorney a couple of times last week and he told me that checks are NOT yet cashed.
So I'm still waiting to hear from the lawyer abt the receipts.
And it looks like your package was handled at NSC itself, instead of getting transfered to TSC or CSC, hence the LIN#.
I will let you know once my receipts are in.

Yes, if we work on our state chapter and get some idea how many members can join in DC then we can talk about it to core members and see what they think.

Well there is a lot of media attention already. I've been talking to so many reporters and there was a huge interest in the event.
Tomorrow, there will be a bunch of media people at USCIS to talk about this, yet in the entire DC area, only nixstor is available to go to USCIS.
How can we expect major media to cover us when we are not willing to participate in something that is of benefit to us?

last week i took infopass and got shedule for biometric , i am also july 2nd filler and had not receive appointment until last week.
my appointment actually at 28th may 2008 but yesterday i went to asc and told them i will be leaving usa next week and request to take biometric fineally i am able to get biometric yesterday.
but i have to pay $25 for him doing my fevour because with out that he isnot willing to do so.
there is no lud today on my i-485 so could you please tell me how long it take to get lud ?

I have been following this thread and you know what, This is THE thread that is going to change the future and lot of things to come.
Personal Information :
I understand some of your concerns of giving personal information, but just think about it, all you are giving is your Email Address and Phone number. You are not giving away Credit card, SSN and Bank Account numbers. Just think about it, Dont you guys already get junk emails and marketing calls. Are you guys not getting mails about Credit Card offers, Macys and Others. So Dont think too much guys. You always have the option of changing the phone number if things get worse. But I dont think that is gonna happen since most of our information are already out there. We will try to work out something with the Admins here to see if we can get a secured page. If not, let one of us take a responsibility of collecting personal information and host a webpage, I know, atleast , one of us can do it.

Guys, Lawyer fees is not an issue, if we get more people in to this. 100 $ ain't too much when you think , you are spending 1000 $ on EAD and AP year after year. Let us shake the USCIS by taking some courageous step. Again, we are not here crossing borders, they invited us here. Every one of us deserve justice and respect. They cant treat us like slaves. They gotto keep up to their promises or else we will demand it.

Our focus should be to get maximum support. Let us send the Letter that we agreed upon, first to, the people from whom,we think, we would get maximum support. I know, we already have a thread that has a link to the letter that is signed by all big companies in favor of increasing High-Skilled immigrants. Let us make them hear. Let us, all 70 K folks here, send individual letters to every body who,we think, will support us and then to send it to those, who already knows everything about their inefficiencies,but still falling deaf, on our earlier outcry. Let us prove that, we dont just sit out there crying. Let us show them who we really are. Stand for our Self-Respect guys.

After doing research, I am thinking that my case may move to Texas Service centre. If I get SRC receipt number, it will be good. My I-140 can be processed within 4 months.
Since it reached before July 30 it can reach anywhere !

I have friedns who sufferd through the phase of not getting a job and had to go through the desi consultants.. they were in no way inferior to u or me.. plain bad luck.. u ask them to go to their home country is it... moron grow some brains

hope that means they are willing to talk about giving EAD. If we get EAD all the lawsuits will be withdrawn. The law does not say AOS applications should not be accepted when there are no visa numbers available, the law only says AOS cannot be approved when visa numbers are not available. USCIS internal regulations says they will not accept AOS applications when priority date is not current. by now its quite apparent that USCIS has broken a lot of there own internal regulations just to make sure the visa numbers are used up before july 2 2007. Then can easily accomodate the EAD for july filers. It all depends upon the pressure exerted on USCIS and DOS

My guess is that this is precisely why USCIS didn't want the all current situation. They don't want to be stuck with 700K applications which have no hope of getting a greencard for years upon years, while they churn out EADs and APs for all those years.
Of course, one fix would be to increase the EAD time period to 3 yrs. Something they have been unwilling to do.

ok. Assuming BILL pass during the lame-duck session... what is timeline for it take effect? I believe the president has to signed it and it take 90 days from that date to be effective? Experts?

Consider the scenario:
Two guys (A and B) come to US in 2005, both do not have MS and experience less than 5 years. Therefore both not elligible for EB2 on 2005. They are from a retrogressed country.
A does MS and joins job in 2007, becomes eligible for EB2 and files GC on 2007.
B joins a job on 2005 that do not need MS and experience and files for EB3.
Till 2010 both of them did not get GC. But B crossed 5 years of experience and from EB3 to EB2. Now B's priority date is 2005, although he was not elligible for EB2 at that time.
Although A was elligible for EB2 in 2007 earlier than B (2010), A is pushed behind B.
SHould it be acceptable to people like A? And there is not one or two pleale like B, thousands arer doing that?
If you see my priority date you will understand I am not saying this for myself. I have a bro and friends who are facing this isssue.
Therefore EB2s who are from mid 2006 onwards will really get pushed back..
I see this porting simillar to the labor substitition.. Till it was in place it was legal although thousands bought labors and that is one main reason EB2 had retrogressed back to 2000. I predict simillar thing is happending again, people are paying money to the desi employers to file perm in EB2 again pretty soon same tertrogression will happen to EB2 I if any urgent action is not taken.
