Thanks for posting. Based on your posts, it seems that you are frustrated and angry. That is understandable. This situation is very stressful. Relax.
I will give you a sincere and useful suggestion, that hopefully will be valid to others as well. Please refrain from pulling the race card on people talking about immigration. That makes you look emotional, character assassin and worse, that can make people perceive you as a racist yourself. That is the failed tactics used by illegal aliens and uneducated people when confronted with the reality that their attitude and posture is irrational. As far as I can tell, NumbersUSA objects against Irish people who came here illegally. Therefore I do not see any correlation between racial profiling there as you seem to persist. I am not here to defend NumbersUSA or Lou Dobbs. I am just here to remind you that if we continue following the rationale "us vs them" and doing character assassination, we will undeniably face rough opposition and struggle to get what we deserve.

Are you working for numbersusa? Do you know that it is made by white supremist who dont want any colored skin including native americans to be alive in US? Talk about your scare of getting too many people with substandard MS degrees. Do you not realize that the companies in USA knows a different in good US school and Bad one - So in nutshell the people from bad school wont get job? Do you know that there is nature's rule - Fittest Survival... So in case you are fit enough and qualified enough to get a job then you will get one, it does not matter if you are from good or bad school....
Also, looking at your thoughts, it does not appear that you are MIT or Stanford grade material, so do us all a favor and keep your thoughts to yourself....
Ombudsman - There is a questionmark on Senthil1's origination but we have no such doubt about yours.. You are definitely a MOLE in this IV Organization and the only reason they keep you on board is because this is democracy and we dont want to throw out someone who might disagree - Its about freedom of expression - But when Freedom of expression crosses the line and creates poison pill then we need to weed it out I guess.....
In any case, I would definitely like to challenge your argument about 400 anti: 1 pro immigration calls. Are you aware of Avertising world rule that when someone does not like soemthing, they tend to tell at least 25 people about it, while when someone likes something, they might tell 1 person. In this case, this classic rule has applied beyond expectations because people who are calling are already racist who sit on their ass and expect all colored people to be their slaves and get things done for them. They want their mexican maid or indian computer programmer doing things for them but the moment they realize that these foreigners might get citizenship and be equal to them, they dont like that.... (and so do you)....So there you go....No wonder they pick up phone and dial....In any case, what better can they do?

FYI I received my EAD card this morning!!! I know yours are all coming soon! It never updated online it just said that the approval notice was sent- it never said card ordered.

thanks indigokiwi. The deadline is end of March, but we would like a large amount of this raised much earlier, since it involves making reservations, booking appointments, for Eg. with the lobbyist.
We need to raise about $1000 everyday to meet the goal.

My 485 application was received by TSC on July 16th. Intrestingly there are threads that are tracking applicaitons from July 2nd to July 13th and July 17 to Aug 17th? What is wrong with 16th? Are there are one with the same receipt date here?

For your info, mine is not a transfer case. My application was filed directly with TSC on July 2nd and I have received 485 receipt notices from TSC itself. So delay in FP has nothing to do with transfer case.
I spoke to an IO today and my FP has still not been scheduled yet. Got the same old reply , waiting for an availalibilty from local ASC.

Here's more information. I only got the receipt numbers. The package arrived at NSC on 7/3 and recieved by R. Williams at 9:03am. My I-140 was approved at TSC last year. I live in NSC area. Receipt numbers started with LIN, so the cases were not transferred to TSC. I hope this means that they're processing the box for 9:03 on 7/3.

Just wanted to let you guyz know that i have Used "Automatic Visa Revalidation Rule" for entering US from Canada, there were Issues at all, i entered US through
Peace Bridge.
I am planning to Visit Canada again, and wanna use "AVR"
but did u land in canada for immigration purposes? with ur AOS pending iN US?

The exchange between Chanduv and Desi3933 has been a refreshingly objective discussion and is a welcome change from the typical hyper-reactionary posts one sees more frequently in this forum.
One of the features of the fight for EB immigration reforms we all need to be cognizant of is - that most (99%) of the members are in this fight to solve an immediate personal problem (visa situation) in a timely manner - most of us are not in it because we believe it to be a cause larger than us and a cause that demands personal sacrifice - and hence the lack of collective passion (lukewarm responses to IV sponsored drives, donation efforts etc.)
While - many have tried to compare this cause to India's independence struggle or Gandhiji's movement in South Africa - but the fundamental difference is that in both these struggles - people who led the struggles led it at a personal cost (Gandhiji willingly gave away a lucrative career to take up the struggle and so did Nehru; Netaji Bose was a Civil Services Officer and gave it up) - even the vast majority of revolutionaries (Bhagat Singh et al) were college educated professionals who could easily have had nice careers in British India.........and therein lies the fundamental difference......not one of us would willingly give up what we have for this struggle - we are in it because we are stuck in a system and want some resolution.......as soon as our particular situation gets resolved...we move on....(maybe there are a few exceptions and hats off to these folks).........and hence Desi - the answer to your question why H1 does not care for F1 and EAD does not care for H1 and so on.......it is not a collective cause - it is just a collection of individual causes - thats all - we would be fooling ourselves if we had some other grandiose visions - calling this group a cause would be the same as calling passengers on a bus one group - they are in the same bus simply because they share a part of their journey - thats it

At workplaces, there is no healthy discussion - all people do is to watch out their backs and talk accordingly - which leads to false perspectives. These days when we give a good advice to friends or someone they may not percieve it in a good way with a "stop preaching me - go help yourself" attitude.

Any idea how long it takes for a decision once it has been assigned to an officer?
My wife's case was assigned to an officer on Aug 11th.
in my case iwas exactly 3 weeks.
Someone else mentioned on this forum that the officer will clear all the cases assigned to him/her within 30 days.

Let's make sure that this thread or http://immigrationvoice.org/forum/showthread.php?t=21340 remains at the top "Recent forum posts" on IV homepage, so that more and more people can notice it and we can take a timely action. We might need some help from admin. to get this done. I see that "IV Forum login problems" thread is hardwired to remain at the top. We can do something similar for our thread.
